Welcome to my Blog!
Hi!
Let me introduce myself – My name is Georgia, also known as Gigi π
I am a plant and plant-y interiors enthusiast, with a huge passion for growing houseplants soil-free! While I love everything plants, as my collection grew in size, so did the number of pest and soil issues I was facing, which is what inspired me to look into alternative methods of growing houseplants without the use of soil.
A little about my background:
I was born and raised in the Caribbean, a literal tropical paradise, which is where my love for the outdoors, nature and plants truly began. With my family background rooted strongly in horticulture and agriculture, I grew up with a wonder and excitement for everything botanical in nature.
My dream jobs growing up ranged from being a florist, to farming crops, to running my own nursery and plant shop. Uncertainty after high school led me to choosing and completing a degree in business administration, although my heart was never really in it. In fact, half way through my degree I remember feeling extremely dismayed that I had missed my true calling in life and I frantically started applying to school for horticulture, landscape architecture and garden design. Even after getting accepted into all programs, I was urged to complete my business degree first. Unfortunately, life took me in another direction and I never ended up pursuing that formal education in horticulture after my first degree was completed.
However, not having a formal education and that piece of paper hasn’t stopped me. I am a strong advocate for self-learning, and strong-willed perseverance. In today’s day and age, with knowledge available right at the tips of our fingers, its amazing how easily we can learn and share knowledge with others, all while pursuing our own dreams and aspirations!
Thank you for stopping by!
Happy planting! π

Therefore, while this blog is meant to act as a resource and source of inspiration, it is important to understand that the decision to convert β and the vitality of β any plant converted to soil-free using the techniques outlined in this blog, is done at your own risk.
